Python Ultra S

Characteristics:
PYTHON ULTRA S is the swage-compacted version of ULTRA R. ULTRA S is a double parallel closed all-steel rope for applications which demand highest breaking loads. Depending on type, ULTRA S achieves up to 55% higher breaking loads in comparison to a standard 6x36 construction. Ten flexible outer strands provide better pressure distribution and help minimizing wear of sheave and drum. The swaged outer strands of the S type further add to this effect and have the rope lack almost all of its constructional stretch. Up to 20 mm the rope is manufactured as a 10x19 Seale construction; from 22 mm upwards as a 10x25 Filler construction. ULTRA S is neither rotation-resistant nor non-rotating. ULTRA S must not be used where high fleet angles apply.

Fields of application:
ULTRA S is recommended as erection rope, trolley rope as well as hoisting rope for overhead cranes.
